Nanabirdmo inspired me to make this quilt. Now I wish I could send my top to her to quilt since hers turned out so lovely! :roll:

I made this top and somewhat organized my scrap baskets at the same time. I'm down to one basket of scraps. The rest are cut into squares and strips and organized for the next scrap quilt! Now if I could just tackle that last basket!

Oh, I love it. The colors are beautiful. What a way to use up all of those fabric!

The pattern is in a book titled "Relax and Quilt." It's an older book, but I found an inexpensive copy on eBay. It's a GREAT quilt book with some really neat scrap quilt patterns.

I love the way that pattern turned out and what you did with it.

I found a tutorial on how to make a similar quilt. She calls it a String-x quilt and likes to make her strings "wonky". Of course, one wouldn't have to.

Have to tell you funny story. I loved your quilt so much, I went to ebay and bought the book last night. Today, I got a message from seller, it said, "Your bikini bottoms are being shipped today" I said HUH???? Then I saw another email in mail box from seller....she said OH SORRY Your book is being shipped today ignore other message. I wrote her back and said "ROFL that was best laugh of day. I am 65, slightly overweight and love that it is not only bikini,,,,but bikini BOTTOMS...where are tops" ?? She wrote back and said thanks for being understanding about mistake. Book being sent, and bikini bottoms were in SMALL and sent me a pic. They were sequined hot pink with little string ties....look like fat eighth in shape of triangle. Hmmm, maybe fat sixteenth rofl.
