Patio table quilt for daughter
2 Attachment(s)
I have finished quilting a table cloth for our daughter and hubby to use on their patio table. I still have to add something on the back to make sure the umbrella area slit stays closed while the cloth is on the table. It was fun doing the appliques! A different kind of project anyways for me! I wish I had thought of doing this earlier because summer is coming to a close!

I LOVE THIS! So creative!

Thanks! I ordered it through Amazon which gets it from Fabric.com. It's a Timeless Treasures fabric, very soft and lovely. Because they won't ship to Canada, I have to thank my wonderful American friend Rose for shipping it to me!

Makes you want to celebrate. Bring on the food!

what a great idea for an outside table! Great job!!
|
very cute. What a fun idea!. If it's going to be used on a metal table top, you could slit a few stitches an slide in a magnetic strip. Otherwise, maybe something else heavy to hold it down. Enjoy the last fleeting days of summer.
|
Great idea, your appliques are really cute.
|
I love that, you are creative for sure. Maybe velcro of a ribbon to tie would be nice.
|
How cute is that!! What are you going to put on the back to keep the slit closed??? I never thought of doing anything like this! GREAT IDEA!

I saw some at Hobby Lobby and had no idea what you would use it for. Thanks for sharing.
Rather than make the checkerboard pattern, I used checkerboard fabric which saved some time. I just used the applique designs instead of following the pattern as the patio table was a totally different size and I needed to make a slit and a hole in the center for an umbrella. The applique designs are wonderful to use - the chicken leg uses Texture Magic to give it some dimension! What fun! |
