Pea Pods
1 Attachment(s)
Going on a retreat this coming weekend. We always exchange a little something. This year I made Pea Pod bags with chocolate and a K cup. The first one was a bit challenging but after that, they went together quick and easy. Hate wasting one side of the zipper so I'll be looking for just zipper pulls next shopping trip.

So cute and nicely done. I recently purchased the pattern so they are in my future. ;-)
Well, aren't those just the cutest things! Your group will love receiving them!
They are very cute! And yes, great job on them.
Great job, nice selection

Very cute!
Great idea, I bet they are a hit!
can you tell us how you made them? they are cute!!!
Cute! Mill End has the zipper strips by the yard and pulls that are sold separately. It is in the upholstery section. I would take the short ones left over ones with you to make sure they fit the pulls. I bought some pulls/tabs from the fabric store thinking they were right size wise. The teeth were slightly different enough so they didn't work.
I have seen these recently and really need to buy the pattern to make some. They look so useful. Your friends will love them I am sure .... especially with the added treats found in them.
very cute!!
super cute. I have been seeing these pods that everyone is making, but have not yet seen a pattern.
everyone will be very happy to receive! |
Great idea!!
I've searched the web, but can't find the pattern. Who is the designer?
Found the pattern http://www.sewthankful.com/LazyGirlD...etpeaPods.html

So cute! Pretty fabrics.

Home Sew in Bethlehem PA has lots of zippers and zipper parts. You can buy the tape by the roll and it comes with 12 pulls and you can buy the pulls separately. They also have top and bottom stops and a "zipper nipper tool", whatever that is. Says it pulls off unwanted zipper teeth. I've bought stuff from them on line, and have been very satisfied.

Just got my pattern on Sat. Have to finish another project and then on to these!
nicely done
Very cute, I think you can order zipper pulls from Nancy's Notions as I thought she carried rolls of zipper, so you could use just what you need and have pulls for more zippers. Worth checking out.

So cute! Good job! Love it! 😊
I've seen various patterns for jewelry made from zippers, might be an alternative solution; but your pea pods are cut - nice gifts.
Very nice!
Did you find zipper pulls and do they work with multiple brands? What's your experience with using 1/2 of zipper and adding a different pull? great color posibilities,
If you try to use different pulls from some other brands (YKK is the recommended one) often they don't close properly and Lightening zippers separate at the bottom end ocassionally, even had to open one up and replace the zip, not a fun experience!
adorable, but what do you use them for?
