"Peaks & Valleys" My Bonnie Hunter Scrappy Mountain Majesties
3 Attachment(s)
I made this for a very dear friend of mine who is in a volunteer ministry that makes them relocate every 3 years. Now they are in CT. We met in MO about 14 years ago. Due to their relocating we kind of lost track of one another. We found each other again through mutual friends on Instagram! I asked her if I could make her a quilt that she would take with her to her next assignment. She was thrilled with the prospect. I asked what she would like and she said let it be my choice, but she likes cool colors better than warm. I remembered that she likes blue a lot. This should be delivered to her today. I can't wait to hear from her. I chose this pattern, #1 because I had wanted to do one for a long time, but #2 as a symbol of our friendship because she and her husband were very instrumental in my husband and I learning sign language and becoming totally immersed in a sign language ministry, which has had its "peaks and valleys", as learning any foreign language does. But, the 3 years we were together they were totally supportive. Sorry to be so long winded. Lol!
