I have no idea what Pebble and Cream means either but that is a beautiful quilt. I've never seen that pattern before but I really like it. Oh dear, another pattern to go on the list of quilts to make. At this rate, I need to live to 140!

Krystyna 05-19-2011 02:44 AM

Homespun 05-19-2011 04:18 AM

Julie in NM 05-19-2011 05:21 AM

Oh dear have the book but like you fab choices MUCH better that what they did. As soon as I finish sorting my fabrics, I'll be able to start a project like this.

Another great one Hillary, I love it. I wasn't sure what pebbles and cream was but I guess you nailed it cause it's looking good.

cuppi duke 05-19-2011 05:46 AM

Gorgeous quilt. You did a super job. I love the pattern.

oma66 05-19-2011 05:47 AM

I like the name of your quilt - Pebbles and Cream. It is so lovely and the pattern is great. I really like the star pattern it creates and this is one I will diffently make out of my scraps. Wonderful quilt.

jwatmough 05-19-2011 05:53 AM

Hilary, it is lovely. Thanks so much for the close-up picture so that we can see just how the blocks are made. I am still fairly new to quilting and always appreciate being able to see just how to make specific designs.

I love the pattern. A new idea to do with a jelly roll! Perfect choice of color.

QuiltforPD 05-19-2011 06:06 AM

rosemaynes 05-19-2011 07:07 AM

I think your interpretation of "pebbles and cream" is awesome!!! The only thing that I could think of with being told that would be neutrals. What you did is great.

boohoofish 05-19-2011 07:09 AM

Don't know what pebbles would be the cream is easier to understand - you did a great job. I like the cream stars.

reeskylr 05-19-2011 07:16 AM

The original pattern in the book is called Barbed Wire Fence!! It is done in plaid flannels!! I wanted something fairly modern looking but using subtle colours!

This is the way they described the colours in their home!!! Pebbles on a beach can be any colour!! I just went with my ideas and the fabric I just happened to have in my stash!!!!!!

Shirlrh 05-19-2011 10:16 AM

Beautiful quilt I love it. Pebble?? you got me!

wildyard 05-19-2011 10:57 AM

I'm in love with it, and will be figuring out how to make it for sure... Looks like a 9patch variation. I can do that!! LOL LOVE THIS QUILT

ShirlinAZ 05-19-2011 10:58 AM

gramquilter2 05-19-2011 11:34 AM

Beautiful quilt love the colors.

Jan T 05-19-2011 11:48 AM

I think this is just the perfect jelly roll quilt. You can give it a dominant color as you did with the cream, and use just about anything else that goes with it. I'm putting this one on my to do list. Your interpretation is excellent!

Jammin' Jane 05-19-2011 12:37 PM

Very nice. It will be cherished!
