My sister asked me to make a wedding quilt for some friends getting married in August. I do not know these people so asked what their colour preferences would be, the answer came back Pebble and cream?????????????? This is my interpretation!!! Just hope it fits the bill!! The pattern is called Barbed Wire Fence from the Twosey-Foursey Quilts Book by Cathy Wierzbicki. It was made with Jelly Rolls of Lecien fabrics Antique Range, which I have had for about 2 years! (They do get used eventually!!) It will be off to Longarmer next week!!

Just realised it's sideways!!!!!!

cmagee84 05-18-2011 02:01 PM

Oh I love it! The white looks like a friendship star. I have a jelly roll and fabric to match, been wondering what to do. Thank you so much for naming the pattern.

debcavan 05-18-2011 02:05 PM

It is absolutely gorgeous. I hate when I have to do a certain color. You did great

Thankyou! It is actually a deep cream fabric, really quite a rich colour!

grannyp70 05-18-2011 02:08 PM

I haven't heard of Pebble and Cream, but I love your quilt, what is the name of the pattern that you used. You did a great job.

I don't normally do commissions for that very reason!! Everyones perception of colour can be so different!! This was a favour for my sister!!!

suecq 05-19-2011 01:24 AM

I love the colour combination you have used a beautiful quilt

jansquiltn 05-19-2011 01:37 AM

I think that you got it.

Marion T 05-19-2011 02:24 AM

That is a really yummy quilt, I love it. How clever of you to work out the colours without knowing what the description of the colour scheme meant!! Very well done.
