I make what I call personal quilts too. They are bigger than a lap quilt but smaller than a twin. The perfect size for one person. My personal favorite!

I did start on the ugly squares a while ago. Started thinking about what to do with them. Another thing I inherited was a bunch of 2" strips in a lavender---------good match for the uglys. So I sewed two together to get a 3.5" strip and I'm using only the lavender for the "turning 20" block. Shows up as a lot of lavender. I'll look for some of the others. One set is purple and a matching set is turquoise (tropical prints) that I think I'll use as half square triangles. And another 2 sets are an ugly blue with black tropical and a matching dark red with black tropical. May do a D9P with them, favoring the red. |
