|
WOW!!!
You did a beautiful job on this!!! I love the fabrics, it is gorgeous :D:D:D |
It is so pretty. I am really proud of you and the great job you did on this.
Do you have a quilting machine or will you be doing the quilting on your domestic machine. I have never quilted one of my quilts. I have to send them out to get them done. My quilter can only do panographs, and I have always picked a simple design. I once saw a bargello like this, only with the section repeating the all the way down the quilt. It was quilted with curved line running though a color run. maybe tow or three of these....then skipped a few colors, the over a few colors, curved line of feathers, and repeated those two designs. Not sure if I can explain it, but it was really pretty. Might be able to draw this on a photo, but not sure.

Wonderful.
|
I like the idea of stippling so not to distract from the beautiful design.
|
Colleen, take a look at this bargello offered by the Amish.
It shows how to follow the colors in the design. I have done this a couple times on small bargellos. http://www.amishloft.com/amishloft/quilt.asp?dept_id=2,2&pf_id=q80

Colleen,
OMG!!! That is absolutely spectacular. Great colors and great movement. I made one of those twisted ribbon bargellos and loved the finished product, but don't know if I will ever do another one that complicated, but my son loves it. Lucinda |

Where do you find these patterns. I really want to do a bargello and do not know where to find information other than books and that's no help.

Abycat, as Joe stated, go to the home page and near the bottom of the page is All User Defined Sections. Click on that and see the sections listed there. The Bargello Tutorial will be the first on on the list. You can subscribe to that one and that will put it on the home page for you for easy access the next time you want to find it.
I've posted some photos of the bargellos I have made, and one photo I marked up as a pattern, as I don't have a pattern. If you want to make on like the ones I do, read through the messages, and if there are any questions, please post a message for me in whatever message you have questions on and I will try to help.
