I wish I could post a picture, however :? I can't find the cord that takes the pictures from the camera to the computer, so heads up! Miss Ruth - - I am either very early, or VERRRRY late! <wave> When hubby gets home, HE thinks he is going to be working on his computer room, HAH! he works so hard to keep me in the manner to which I wish to become accustomed, but I REALLY need that cord! <wave>

So! Hubby came home and showed me that the camera has a little "door" in one of the corners that the plug goes in to. so!
I am not sure that the color will show up accurately, but rest assured - - the color matches the red - - or, is it coordinates, compliments, complements??? <wave>

Carsey 07-16-2010 07:05 PM

Yea!

mamatobugboo 07-17-2010 02:42 AM

yeah! I love it! thatis such a GREAT red that perfectly coordiates with, compliments AND matches the center!

sandpat 07-17-2010 06:32 AM

omak...looks great!

Ruth...what??? You worked on mine, then you mailed it and didn't post a pic??? Are you trying to make me go beserk here???  Now I'm sooo anxious to see it!!

Knot Sew 07-17-2010 06:58 AM

It was so hot and it was 4:15 and I hate being late.......So all I had in my head was mail it.

OK...how many inches on the one coming to me from Omak....I lost the list again.... it looks to be an applique candidate maybe some flowers on white but ...what color

I added a seven inch border <wave> There is no white in this quilt .. a very light tan, if that helps? <wave>

mamatobugboo 07-17-2010 07:42 AM

add 8 inches to all centers EXCEPT for Ruth, who is getting mine, and she will add only 7 inches to mine....

last round ladies, you will mail out this next round back to its owner! Except mine, which will be forwarded onto to Patti for my final border.

omak 07-17-2010 07:49 AM

Did I do something wrong? I added seven inches .... :?: <wave>

omak 07-17-2010 07:51 AM

Can I claim that I live in a constant state of confusion - - or does that get too close to admitting INSANITY?!?!?! LOL <wave>

mamatobugboo 07-17-2010 11:44 AM

technically, you were supposed to add 6", but im not complaining!! ruth can add another 7" and then Patti the final 8"...

omak 07-17-2010 11:59 AM

Miss Ruthie could cut off an inch and then it would be "regulation"! 8-) <wave>

sandpat 07-17-2010 05:10 PM

Depends on what size Steph wants the quilt to end up....Steph..do you want it trimmed or untrimmed? (sounds like I'm at the hair stylist  )...I know I'm adding 8" to it.

I guess I'll forgive ya' Ruth....can Steph...would it be possible for you to post a pic when you get it??? I'm about to burst here!!!

mamatobugboo 07-18-2010 04:13 AM

I have no problem with it having an inch shaved off!

and, Ms. Pat, yes, I will take a pic when I get yours. :-)

sandpat 07-18-2010 05:30 AM

Oh thank you so much Steph! I can't wait to see what magic Ruth worked!

Knot Sew 07-19-2010 04:44 AM

I did not add anything fancy...it would have looked to busy. I did add 4 new fabrics to the mix,,,a 1" strip...another 1" and then a 2 in and a 3 in...it was a brown
; a gold mix; a green print; and the reddish print. These are a perfect match for the other colors. I took it to the store with me and everyone there helped. They all thought it was beautiful and show cased some great work. thiswas back in may. I did my best to keep it flat...I do have problems with that as they get bigger. On this I started in the middle and sewed to the ends.
It should be there today or tomorrow. I do hope you like it. I thought of adding leaves over the strips but then thought it would be to much.

sandpat 07-19-2010 08:53 AM

Ruth, that sounds like a wonderful solution..I know it had lots of applique and piecing on it so far, so that was a great thought. I can't wait to see her!

Knot Sew 07-19-2010 09:43 AM

I checked the tracking number and steph will get it today. Pretty good for going out at 5pm fri....that track and confir usually means it moves right along

sandpat 07-19-2010 05:02 PM

Oh yippee!!! That means that I'll get to see a pic pretty soon!! :D

mamatobugboo 07-19-2010 05:18 PM

I got it! It is really beautiful. I'll get a pic of it tomorrow (time to get the kids ready for bed) so you will have to hold on ONE MORE DAY patty!

sandpat 07-19-2010 05:29 PM

No worries...I can do that...hug the kiddies for us!!

Wow it sure got wrinkled in the mail.....I used one of the soft priorty envelopes....kind of a plastic paper mix...more flexible and it goes by weight.

Well anyway...the pictures do not do it justice...light or no.....the fabrics and work are wonderful....this is the one I would like to keep

mamatobugboo 07-20-2010 10:20 AM

The pictures NEVER turn out as good as the actual quilt in hand! it did get wrinkled, so I will turn my iron on heavy steam and flatten this baby out!

sandpat 07-20-2010 04:16 PM

  :D :D :D Ruth, I sure wish you could see my huge grin! It is just perfect!! I'm not worried about the wrinkles...you know they come out. That was a great choice for your addition...thank you, thank you!! Now..just one more beeuuuteemos round then come on home to Mama!!! :D Thank you!!!

Knot Sew 07-21-2010 05:50 AM

I just got steph's top...colors are lovely.....I like the envelope of fabric pieces.....easier to match and you don't have to take the whole top with you. My brain is very busy trying to think of colors and patterns....I don't want to wait to the last minute again :-D :-D

mamatobugboo 07-21-2010 06:28 AM

Patti, don't get too stuck on the final "beeuuteemos" border - remember that it is coming from me...the late one!

omak 07-21-2010 06:42 AM

Well, quilters!
What is the mailing date on this last round?
I just opened up the package from Colletta Kay - - because I couldn't figure out whose quilt I had.
I will have to wait for DH to get home tonight to post a picture, but now I know which quilt I have (long story, not worth the time or effort to explain any of it - - besides! It just makes me look STUPID, INEPT, and totally out of control! LOL)
anyway, tonight I will post a picture of Miss Ruth's quilt, and I have a question ...
I have a Sunbonnet Sue/Overall Bill appliques that are, oh, maybe 7-8 inches tall (very healthy little cuties) would you like them to be walking through the woods, taking time to smell the roses???? <wave>

mamatobugboo 07-21-2010 06:51 AM

the last mailing is September 15, or there abouts.

We are all getting really excited about getting our centers back, so PLEASE do everything in your power to stay on target for the last mailing date. And, if something comes up in your life (which happens) that is going to delay your mailing or something, please keep in contact with me and/or the owner of the center you have on hand. It took about 6 months for me to receive my 1st IRR quilt back and that was after months of non-communication due to personal issues on the other end. It was not fun! So, please...just keep in touch with us!

Happy sewing!

omak 07-21-2010 07:24 AM

I am hoping to be well ahead of that date as soon as I hear back from Miss Ruth. <wave>

mary quite contrary 07-21-2010 08:50 AM

I have Colletta's. I think I have decided what to do so I should (emphasis on should) be on track to finish on time.

sandpat 07-21-2010 06:39 PM

Ok...I'm confused (don't ya'll dare say"what else is new" )...I looked at the schedule and I think I'm supposed to have Mary's....I don't think I have one at all from this group...do I????

And Steph...yes, I know your addition will be beeuuuteemos..doesn't matter if it's late or on time...I have plenty to keep me busy... but the question is...do I have a top from this group??

sandpat 07-21-2010 06:52 PM

Ladies...I'm doing something a little different for the last/final round on each quilt. Would you please post them in your normal "group" thread so we can all ooohhh and awwww over them...but also could you please post them here http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-54909-1.htm.

I'm trying to have a thread with JUST the quilt pics on it....not page after page of chatter...but would love to have a thread where everyone can see all the quilts without giving up looking due to the comments.

Group Point people...can you help me make sure they get posted on the "finished" thread...If I see one on a thread finished, I'll try to round them up to post, but I might miss one..so thanks. The thread IS in the virtual section.

mary quite contrary 07-22-2010 01:26 AM

Texasquilts should have mine although I haven't seen a picture in a while.

If you would like to add a round to mine I would be glad to send it to you though. lol

sandpat 07-22-2010 05:49 AM

I thought I was supposed to have yours mailed to me on July 15...ok...I AM confused...

Knot Sew 07-22-2010 06:05 AM

Omak...I am open to anything, thats whats great about the IRR.
:-D :-D :-D :-D I wouldn't want a quilt with just my ideas

As usual - - I am playing "catch-up", although at the moment, I am ahead of the game ... however!
I received Knot Sew's center from CollettaKay a number of weeks ago. Because I was behind, and easily confused, I never opened the package, but I have and realized that the center had not been seen for the June/July mailing date (I am too confused to decide which quilt this is! LOL) ... at any rate (stalling for space so you can't see this until you have read all the words  ) here is the picture with the brilliant border Miss CollettaKay added.
