Yay!!!!!!!!! Oh, I'm in love with my Mickey!!!! Can't wait to get him back so my aunt can quilt it! :) :) Thank you all so much!!!!!
Yippee!!! I love it, Chrys!!!! You are a lucky lady. I think this is the 1st one finished. I think that I will post a new thread for all the "finished" quilts..We want to post them in the appropriate "group" thread, but I'd love to be able to see them in all one place too...so I'll start that. Congrats again Chrys, its a very cool quilt!
Way to go Jan, the first of our group to finish! I love it, and I know Chrys can't wait to get it home and get her hands on it :-D
I have the material and the plan for kwhite's, just have to take a few days and make it. I love the idea of a thread just for the finished quilts patti, thanks!! |

Carsey...most of the labels for the IRR (round robin quilts) are made by the owner of the center. If you have an embroidery machine...you can make one that way. Another option is to use a Pigma (or some other permanent marker...and you'll have to tell the people in your group what color to use if it matters to you or include the pen). Another option is to have everyone sign a paper and then scan it at the end onto fabric. Another option is to buy something.....so you see...there are lots of different ways to do it! Its basically just your choice. :D

Ladies...I'm doing something a little different for the last/final round on each quilt. Would you please post them in your normal "group" thread so we can all ooohhh and awwww over them...but also could you please post them here http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-54909-1.htm.
I'm trying to have a thread with JUST the quilt pics on it....not page after page of chatter...but would love to have a thread where everyone can see all the quilts without giving up looking due to the comments. Group Point people...can you help me make sure they get posted on the "finished" thread...If I see one on a thread finished, I'll try to round them up to post, but I might miss one..so thanks. The thread IS in the virtual section. |
Sounds great, almost done with kwhite. so I will post a picture here, and also in the new thread. What a great idea!
Thanks alot Ninnie...I can't wait to see all the finished quilts! Its been quite the journey and it seemed to just fly by!
Mickey came home to me yesterday. Ladies, I am in awe of what you did with my Mickey center. It is sooooooooooo much better in person then in pics on the internet! It came while I was having my group of ladies over for sewing, and they all oooh'd and aaaah'd over it. This was my first round robin and the one that will mean so much to me. :) :) Thank you all again! Once I get him quilted (hopefully in the next few months) I'll post a pic. :)
Yea Chrys!! Another one home all safe and sound...does this old girl's heart good to hear it. :D

Here are the pictures of kwhite's center. The last round is finished, and it will be heading home shortly, maybe
Working with this group has been so much fun. What a year this has been, from the time I got brave enough to sign up. to putting the last stitches in this top. I hope all of this group has enjoyed the journey as much as I have. Thank you Sandi, and Elle, for overseeing all of us crazy quilters. Hugs Ninnie Karen's Quilt Top |
Great addition to tie the whole thing together Ninnie! I love it!!
That's really pretty!
Very pretty Ninnie! This was fun was'nt it? Can't wait to see mine!
Ninnie it is awsome!!! Thank you so much I really love it!!!!!!!!
Hi girls. I just need to check in and see where we all stand.
would everyone please post where the are on their last rounds. I have kwhite's ready to mail out. Sorry K. will try to get it out tomorrow. thanks. |
I'm not "there" yet. It has been a hectic summer and I'd rather wait for getting it right instead of hurrying. Besides that, the air cooler went out last week, and the main floor (where I sew) is about a million degrees. Good thing we can sleep downstairs, which stays pretty cool. Trust me, you would NOT want a product I had to rush on while I was hot.
