You need to go to a Conservator and get an appraisal on what it would cost to put acid-free mat and glass and have it framed so the air, people touching it won't ruin it. It's truly a keep-sake.

What a wonderful treasure, I'm sure you will treasure it always. My Mom embroidered when she had the time, but as a farmer's wife and mother of 7 children, there wasn't a lot of time. However, I have a set of pillow cases that she did, and even though some of the stitches are coming off, I treasure them, as she has been gone from us for a long time.

So cool...great work....looks great....you just gave me an idea...I will be checking my mother's stuff..she used to do hand embroidery in Italy as a young girls...she has lots of sheets and pillow cases..
