Howdy LoriJ!!! You do some beautiful work!!! I love the tree skirt too. But I don't think I could begin to pick a favorite of those you posted here! They're all just lovely! Welcome to our little quilting family by-the-way!!! Hope to see more of your pieces soon!!

Great quilts-I would love to see a picture of your daughter's dorm quilt when you finish it-I love the fabrics.

Has your son earned his Eagle yet?

Wow, your quilts are very pretty and I love your puppies watching over them too! You did a fabulous job with the feathers and quilting around cookie cutters tracings...what a great idea that is!

Thank you all very much! I appreciate all the kind words. I am learning so much already from these boards, I'm glad I stumbled upon you all. I've surely enjoyed making these, and I look forward to many more. Secretly, the tree skirt is my favorite so far, maybe 'cause it was the first and I only get to see it once a year, so it feels new each time I unpack it.

Ah, the feathers..... I really like the way they look, but that was ALOT of pushing, pulling and clipping threads.... Hopefully, the next time will go alot easier once I learn how to use my quilting frame.

Marcia, that pic is several years old now. My DS earned his eagle, entered the Army Reserve, served 13 months over in the sandbox and is now in a college ROTC program. He graduates Dec 09.

Boy! life comes at you fast, doesn't it?

I'm about 1/2 way done with the blocks for my DD's quilt. I can't take credit for the fabrics, she picked them all out. I'll post it as soon as I get it finished.
