Picture Frame Quilt finally finished. Posted pictures as promised

I finally finished my picture frame quilt. I posted some pictures as promised. I was so glad to use advise from you on quilting in the ditch of the straight lines in order to keep them true. It really worked. Hard to tell in picture as my husband is holding it hanging so I could picture it. I then used embroidery machine to embroider quilting patterns in the green grass at bottom (put green leaves on the green leaves) then I used a pattern of flowers in the top floral border. The area of flowers and trees (like looking out the window) I free motion quilted around the flowers, bushes and trees to make them pop. When I did the binding, I didn't want the black to show on back. I therefore made my binding by sewing the black strips onto the strips of backing material so black on black and light colored backing on backing. It was a fun project to do.

Beautiful... looks just like a pretty view through a window.

Beautiful! It would surely brighten a room needing a window. :)

Beautiful quilt and such a great use for this lovely panel!

Lovely - and excellent choices for quilting and double binding!
|
Sew pretty! It would be lovely hanging in a windowless room or office!

It's beautiful!! I have that panel too and I love what you've done with it!
|
That's beautiful!! A wonderful quilt to have on a wall to "look out the window"!
|
Nicely done. I prefer straight lines because they do give a dimension and if done correctly can make a quilt look stunning. Job well done.

Pretty, pretty!
|
Such a beautiful quilt!
|
I could look out of that window all day. Just gorgeous.
