Picture of my 2nd quilt - I am a newbie
 

I had some help with this quilt, a couple of lessons from a veteran quilter. I thought it turned out great. Good thing she helped me with all the bias edges though. Spray starch is a marvelous help. This is just the top, it had not been quilted when this pic was taken. It is now fully finished but put away until spring.

Actually, the lady that helped me tried to talk me out of doing this one but it was the one that I wanted. She helped me with the measuring & some of the cutting (as there are so many bias edges) & once I got started sewing, I was okay. I was very happy with the way it turned out. She said the middle of the star won't sit flat if I'm not careful but it sits perfectly. Very pleased with the results & the quilting just finished it off. This pic is BEFORE quilting.
