What awesome quilts. :!: I am trying to make 90 circles for one of the peek-a-boo quilts and decided to do novelty prints on the top side. It has taken me forever just to cut the circles. After I finished about 45 of them, I wished I had put the novelty prints on the back and the other on the front, but oh, well. Live and try again. You have inspired me to keep going. :) I also love the brightness of the log cabin, and the flower.

Ohhh nice! I like the disappearing Nine patch and the Dahia! I have a question about the instant flannel quilt. I was at a quilt show yesterday and I bought a template set to make that pattern, it has so many options to choose from. It came in 3 different sizes and it was called Less than Traditional, did you happen to use that? I'm asking because I had never thought of using flannel and I like the way yours looks! Also, did you hand piece the Dahia! It's so pretty, I have always been afraid of doing that one.

When I did the flannel one, I folded the fabric as I would for rotary cutting - in half like it comes off the bolt and then once more so I was cutting 4 layers at once. I used a plate as a template and cut right around it with my 45mm rotary cutter. It worked great. For fussy cutting the novelty prints, it took a little longer, but not too bad!

I machine pieced the dahlia. It was not hard at all. A little fidgety in the very middle, but otherwise it wasn't bad.

I've really enjoyed quilting up to now and gleaning information as I have, but your work wants me to go out, find a teacher and learn more. What I'm trying to say is that you've done exactly what a great teacher should: inspire. Your students are very lucky.
