Beautiful blocks, so fresh and crisp looking. I recently bought The New Hexagon book by Katja Marek from That Patchwork Place which is where these designs have come from. Look forward to seeing the completed quilt.

Hmm, inklingo looks fascinating.....does it really work better than EPP? I am so afraid to jam up a printer, than have to buy another...plus ink is so expensive...isn't it cheaper to order from precut source? Rather than print out? Just thinking out loud .....let me know ....
Monale---- do you choose not to have a sewing machine...hope I am not being nosy......your handwork is great, so I know you could do great things with a SM...... 1 - Yes, its easier than EPP. You stitch and its done. 2 - Printing is same as printing photos on fabric, fabric labels, etc. 3 - The software uses very little ink, cartridges last long. 4 - Precut ends beeing more expensive because with the software (depending on the shape) you get a number of shapes in 3-4 sizes. I´m hand piecing 3" hexagons right now for a queen size with lots of different patterns and colors. You could download a free shape and try it. And no, no jam ruins a printer ! |
These are so original and creative. Love them and looking forward to seeing the wonderful quilt they will become.
