The other day I posted my saga of embroidering the cuff of the pillowcase.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-87000-1.htm Well, I got to my SIL and brother's house with the pieces and my sewing tools. We decided on hot pink for the banding instead of gold. Lisa doesn't know how to sew a year ago Black Friday she bought herself a basic machine. We took it out of the box and together, along with my other sister, Mel, set about to figuring out how to use the machine. I talked her thru all the steps to get the pieces cut, showed her how to lay them out, pinned the seam line and set her to sewing. She did a great job and had the patience to put up with me. lol. She is going to make pillowcases for her dad now. btw, I never did get my machine out. Lisa and McKenna with her first pillowcase!! |

That is cute! It's fun to watch what our young ones pick out and discover their own style! One of the best benefits of being creative with fabric!

I may borrow your quote for myself. I am a breast cancer survivor and make pink quilts for friends who have had to endure chemo and radiation. So far. . . I've given away three. Who is it that brought you into the "Sew Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness?"

That is just great. She did a wonderful job on it.
