I love it so much that I'm going to 'flatter' you by making a similar baby boy quilt :) (The new parents' theme for the baby room is sock monkeys but... I don't like them.)

Caswews 02-07-2013 02:23 PM

Oh what an adorable quilt !! Thanks for the idea ...

cowgirlquilter 02-07-2013 02:34 PM

Exactly why I did not ask the theme or colour of the baby's room!
I didn not want to feel restrictions and requirements on what I might do.

Not a problem ... I will accept the flattery! I just took a traditional pattern and worked with it.
Sure do hope that you will let me know when you have it ready for me to see! :)

Here's a quilt that I just made for a sweet new Miss in my "adopted" family!
Size is 40"x50" with the 9P strips being cut at 2".
No fussy cutting for the print centres, just cut into 5" squares to work with the Irish chain.

Thanks for looking ... I had fun making it and then quilting it the last few days.

That is so cute - I often make 9-patch with a fabric square in between, but I'd never thought about taking the 9 -patch into the border. Nicely done.
