Pink Pump - a Laura Heine collage design
1 Attachment(s)
I finally got around to finishing a collage that I started in a class with Laura Heine (pattern designer) at the AQS show in Grand Rapids last August. I enjoyed doing this but wish I had not fused so much fabric that didn't get used in the collage. I guess I will have to figure out something else to do with the leftovers.

That is so pretty! Perfect for any gal who loves shoes! So very well, done, collage is my next want to learn technique.
Really cute! Definitely make another collage with your leftovers.
Love it, love all of the colors and you did good work
That is so beautiful and you did a great job on it.
That is adorable! I love the spools on the heel!
that is cool! the colors are awesome... as usual you did a great job
That is great work !
Perfect to hang in a walk in closet, but too pretty not to let everyone see!
I am working on LH's Abilene. Have the strips cut, but not fused..I feel I will have extra's too, but thinking of just doing a cow's head rather than a full body frontal. |
very pretty, nicely done
Very cute!! Bet that was fun to make.
Turned out beautifully. Great work.
Awsome...I have 3 of her patterns waiting in the wings...you might need those leftovers for another...
Oh my gosh, love it.
That's delightful! Love all the black and whites you used in the background.
Cute cute cute!!
That's very cute. I may need to make one for my daughter, whose weakness is shoes ... The taller and skinnier the heel, the better. I have no clue how anyone can walk in stilettos! Anyways, I was wondering if this was a kit or a pattern? I love the fabric choices.
Just fabulous! You did an awesome job.
Nita, I think it is available both as a pattern and a kit. For the class, it was a kit. Her website is fiberworks-heine.com
That is so pretty. I will put that technique on the to do list.
That's fantastic!!! You did a marvelous job! The heels are amazing!!!
Wow, that is just awesome.
Why not make a second collage facing the other direction? You'll have a pair of pink pumps to wear on your sewing room wall.
That is very cute. Well done.
That turned out so nice! I fell in love with the giant pin cushion one. But when I figured all the different fabrics I’d need to buy, that stopped that idea.
Love your wonderful picture of the classic pump-as I walk about in my Reeboks! Another great design. I like the fabrics you chose-very fitting. I remember loving shows to match wonderful dresses.
Really cool..... I bought the pattern a few months ago to give it a go. Looks like fun..
That is amazing. Have always wanted to do one of her designs.
Very cute! Well done! Fun fabrics too.
Really cute!
Very cool collage!
Gorgeous!!!!!!
You did a wonderful job on that collage. Is it a technique you will want to do again?

That is beautiful. It looks like it was fun to make.
All I can say is Wow
Very pretty! Really pops.
That's lovely. I bought the Christmas one with the reindeer at Quiltcon, but it might be the fall before I start! I have to buy 8 yards of steam a seam
You did a wonderful job with fabric placement...I have been drooling over her patterns and hope to take a collage class someday.
Wow. You did a great job. I have several of her patterns; I need to get busy and just pick one and 'do it'.
