This is called "In The Pink" from the sept 2006 issue of the quilter magazine. The original quilt obviously uses pink as the main fabric.....I used a small yellow and white pin dot. This quilt was very easy..I started it yesterday finished a few minutes ago....I am wondering if I should put borders on..the pattern doesn't call for them...but I rarely make a quilt without borders.

Gorgeous. Are you secretly a quadruplet? You whip out these fantastic quilts so fast?

Look forward to seeing them. I am a beginner, and dream of accomplishing just one of your quilts!

Although I am a beginner and know nothing! I would add a light green border as it is in most of your colored blocks.
:) :) :)

It's pretty! I'm with you about the borders - almost always add 2 myself. I usually put a narrow inner border and wider outer border. It frames the center so well. It can make a quilt I don't really like into one I love! Lay the fabric out on one side and stare at it for awhile...that should help you decide.

You are quite the quilting machine! :)

That is lovely!

Another gorgeous quilt. I don't know how you do it.
This colors in this one are so soft looking.
I just love it.

Beautiful quilt! I would have never thought of 9 patches and 4 patches. Makes it look so complicated, but stunning!

Beautiful quilt!! I don't know how you do it, almost every day a new quilt! Do you keep them or sell them?

Ditter43 04-21-2010 05:27 AM

Another winner!! How do you do it? I agree about borders...anytime I see a quilt without them I wonder why they didn't "finish" the quilt!!! ha ha

I am sure whatever border you decide on will be perfect for your quilt......

It is beautiful and I vote, don't put a border one it. I usually do to, but finally made one and didn't put a border and I actually like it! You might suprise yourself.

Jingle 04-21-2010 05:36 AM

Absolutely Beautiful !!! I would put a darker small border to frame it and then a wider one. You will do a great job at deciding what colors to use. I really think borders finish a quilt off very nicely.

I didn't plan any of my colors....but I think if someone did you could really make the "chains" stand out and get a completely different feel...I just had a pile of fat quarters laying around that needed to be used....

All of the four patches and nine patches are made from 2.5 inch strips or squares.

sharon b 04-21-2010 07:33 AM

Ilovemydogs 04-22-2010 12:55 PM

Maybe a small pink border? Beautiful quilt. I don't know how you find all the time to make quilts! :-)

Oklahoma Suzie 04-22-2010 06:46 PM

beautiful

bitty39 04-22-2010 06:58 PM

Live dangerously...do something different and go without borders! It is a beautiful quilt!

ctmhjenn 04-22-2010 08:08 PM

Really a pretty quilt. I love the way you put your colors together. I am not good at that, so I love all the pictures. Joanie

CarrieAnne 04-23-2010 04:20 AM

Its really pretty!

bstanbro 04-23-2010 10:31 AM

You are the most prolific quilter I've ever seen. I think I make a lot of quilts, but you have me beat by a mile. Every one is gorgeous!!

kso 04-23-2010 10:52 AM

It has a very vintage feel to it. Lovely!

belmer 04-23-2010 12:19 PM

Gorgious! love the yellow, and I would put borders on it.

pollyjvan9 04-23-2010 12:25 PM

Great quilt. I think a 1/2" border in one of the darker greens in the floral, then an applique border scallops or flowers would be good.

quiltlady37 04-23-2010 06:58 PM

I love the colors and I like the nine patch and four patch. It makes a beautiful quilt. I usually put borders on my quilts, but every quilt is different and maybe this one doesn't need borders. You will make the right decision.

TammyD 04-23-2010 06:59 PM

Very pretty!
