pinwheel rail fence, rainbow version

Oh dear. I can't remember the original name of this quilt. It was in tans/neutrals, and I think it had some kind of foodie name like Dulche du Leche or Cookies-n-Cream. Someone will remind me, I'm sure.
Anyway, here is my interpretation, made with a batik jelly roll: |
Nice, very vibrant and full of interest. Love it!!
Yes, Vibrant is the word. The crisp black and white border really sets it off.
Was the name Creme Brule? I can't remember either but it is a great quilt in the brights and the black and white pinwheels really pop.
Wow that is awesome.
My kind of quilt! Good job!
I love the quilt colours ... very nice

I love the way you mixed all the bright colors with the black and white. Your border fabric is perfect.

Fun border too ! I did a scrappy splitrail with black and white pinwheels too. Will post soon ! What size squares did your four sqare with pinwheel work out to be ? Mine 18 inches and with 2 1/2 inch blue strit to tie all togethet measuring 68 inches. Biggest thing i have quilted on home machine. Love you border idea, you are right a food name..will not soell it right...creme brulea. And soft cream colors.
Thabks so much for sharing ! Love your idea from a more subdued original version. ! |
Really nice. In keeping with the food name, you could call yours Tootie Fruitie.

Here is another post from this board with the same pattern. Yours reminds me of Mike and Ike candy. |
Looks great this way too!
Very cool! I like your choice of border fabric. Not only does it set off the bright colors, but it adds a nice contrast to the straight lines of the blocks.

Simply smashing. The colors pop, and I love those pin wheels thrown in there for good measure. The border just sets it all off.

Striking colors, the pinwheels are hypnotic, the border is very neat too.

It looks good!
That is such a fun quilt. The border enhances and compliments the quilt.

I liked this pattern so much I started looking for it ...following the link given in an earlier post. Never did find a "Creme Brulee" pattern but found a "One Pinwheel Rail Fence" and a "Two Pinwheel Rail Fence" (aka labeled "Unnamed" in EQ7) at http://colormequilted.com/favorite-patterns/ Both have been saved to my quilting flash drive and printed! Now to decide what colors/fabrics to use. Decisions, decisions!
Very colorful and a good job!
