I've used panels often in baby quilts and never felt their were any less because of it. For one thing, a baby quilt is used for such a short time, it's a waste to make it a work of art. I think the panels are very attractive and help make it a quick project. Love them.

I love this quilt.. love the borders around the squares.. so cheerful
