Piping and fat binding on Baby quilt
3 Attachment(s)
This is just a cheater panel. I added several boarders and then piping and an extra fat binding. I really like how it turned out!
Sorry the photos should have been rotated, just stand on your head to view that last one :) |
Very cute, and I love the effect the piping and wide binding add. I must try to do that sometime.
Darling quilt. And I think there's no such thing as "just a cheater panel." They make great quilts. I'm working on one right now, although it's not turning out as cute as yours.
nicely done
Don't say "just a cheater panel" - it's adorable! Well done!
Very cute and I really like the wide binding.
CHEATER is such a horrible, negative term...for such an adorable quilt...i really don't get why people have to put such negativity on their work...a panal is simply a large print cotton fabric...there is nothing CHEATING about it- you still work creatively to make it into something wonderful...just like using any other printed fabric.

Love it and the bright colors
It's a happy quilt. I love panels, use them frequently. It's not cheating; it's efficient use of time and materials!
That's one of the best panel quilts I've seen!!! So bright and happy! I love what you did with it with the borders and binding! Will keep it for inspiration!
Sew cute!!!!!!!!
What a wonderful bright and cheerful quilt. I love panel quilts, I make them to donate for children in the hospital. I hand quilt them so it still takes a lot of time to finish.
Great job!

Love. This. ! And THANK YOU for the Piping link; that'll be a fun thing to try out! (and another tool to add to the 'grocery' list which is getting longer every time I read a post...LOL!) |
I love panels! Your quilt turned out beautiful! I love everything about it. Standing on my head for the last pic gave me a headache. lol
Too cute!!!!
Great idea! Thank you for sharing!
Very cute, some little guy will be enchanted.
WOW that is very cute.

I've used panels often in baby quilts and never felt their were any less because of it. For one thing, a baby quilt is used for such a short time, it's a waste to make it a work of art. I think the panels are very attractive and help make it a quick project. Love them.

I love this quilt.. love the borders around the squares.. so cheerful
My favorite kind of kids quilt - bright and cheerful. Love your work.
