That is so cool! I wish my Guild could have a class like that. I am always at a loss as to how to use panels. This idea is so simple and clever. Is there a book or pattern for this, I'd love to make one. Thanks for posting.

DianneK 04-02-2016 05:41 AM

What a very interesting technique. You did a terrific job with all 3 panels. They are almost like works of art.

What a fun technique - I love the look of the oriental panel and the poppy - had to try to pick just one favorite and ended with two!

Very nice art work. :)

leighway 04-03-2016 05:46 AM

Wow...I needed this class. I've just plunged into making a quilt with a panel and it is/was/has been a BUGGER! I've had to pull every design piece out of thin air twice! and while it's almost finished, it's not my favorite quilt...but a finished quilt is a favorite quilt for the moment.

Luv Quilts and Cats 04-03-2016 06:47 AM

Very nice!

So beautiful - just wonderful. My favorite is the geisha panel in browns. Thank for posting these beautiful works.
I have a panel I'd like to use, and will wait until I gain some skill.
