Awesome I have 3 grandsons who would just love it. Is it a piece of fabric with it all on it or did you put it all on it? I would love to make one for them for christmas.

It is a piece of fabric 2 yards long pre-printed. I used felted pellon in place of batting so it wouldn't be too puffy & added a backing. Each item on it has been outlined to bring areas out. If they use it for a quilt, it will certainly keep them toasty on the coldest of nights, but as a play mat, will give them many hours of fun.

My 15 year old son was sitting when I opened this post and he just raved over it! Said it was so neat, why didn't he have one when he was little :-)

stitchntimesewing 03-18-2011 02:28 AM

Awesome, they just have to add hot wheels.

Neither one of those are the same fabric. I really don't like the second one. Thanks for helping.

Sure is nice. The children should have a lot of fun with it.

anniec55 03-18-2011 05:43 PM

Is that a printed panel? or did you embroider it??? I am working on one too!! Think I spend more time thinking about it than working on it.... GREAT JOB!!

Thank you! No, this is a pre-printed fabric which I merely put together with felted pellon & a backing, then outlined everything to bring out its features. It's a Cranston fabric I got off e-bay.

Becky Crafts 03-20-2011 02:35 AM

I have an inquiry in to the folks who sold this fabric to me to see if they have or know where you all might find some. I'll let you know if they come up with any.

I wrote to the lady I bought mine from & she says she got it at an Estate Sale & don't know if they make it anymore. I've been searching the panels on e-bay all morning & haven't seen any. I did find some other intriguing ones for construction & another through the mountains that look fun! She is checking with some stores she knows to see what she can do to find some.

Anyone interested in this fabric
contact me.
I have about 6-yards of the same only it is the already quilted one.
I am giving "owlvamp"
first choice as I sent her a PM.
I don't think she will want all 6-yds.

biscuitqueen 03-20-2011 05:10 PM

cjaye44 03-22-2011 05:47 PM
