It is great! Do not be hard on yourself! People will only see what you point out to them-the fabrics are great and you've done a wonderful job!

This is beautiful. You must be a born artist. I don't know if you could have found a more difficult first project if you tried!

Really pretty! You are doing a wonderful job.

Wow, you really took on a hard quilt for your first. It looks great. I have been quilting for 3 years and I still would not attempt that many different cuts. Keep up the good work.

If this is your first attempt at quilting, you sure picked a tough pattern and you did brilliantly with it! Keep sewing, my dear, you are doing great!

Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement! I just want to clarify that this is my 4th quilt since starting sewing in November. I did know how to sew a bit enough to get thru my one college course. My first was a very easy strip quilt but the next two were tougher. This Quilt is Jazz Hands from Material Obsession. I could spend all day in the quilt shop looking at fabrics. I think I have purchased 1/8 of everything at JoAnns that appealed to me.

You picked a hard one to start out with, but it looks so cool. You go ahead and finish it, and you will had a real treasure. Every time you finish a quilt, you get more knowledge, keep up the good work.

Susan, your quilt is beautiful. I love the pattern. We must be related. I decided to do a double wedding ring for my first quilt. I thought it was horrible, corners didn't match completely, my cutting was not accurate. That was about 30 years ago. 7 or 8 years ago a friend wanted to show me a quilt she had rescued from the garbage a few years back she said. Some of the corners didn't match up and there were a couple of small pleats where someone had forced stuff to fit. I didn't think it was too bad and thought it was a good find. She had seen part of it sticking out of a garbage can on the roadside waiting for pickup when she had left my house one evening. I threw away that almost finished quilt top with the scraps left. She had rescued it and finished it many years ago. It really doesn't matter what you think of what you have done. Someone will love it.
