How about the 10 minute block? It's a wonderful thing you are doing. I wonder if any of the ladies/gents here would consider sending you a top and you could finish it?????

Quilt as you go as often as possible, no reason can't do this with a tube Quilt, did this with one the other day and it finished very fast!!
Good Luck |
How about baby take 3. It uses 3 fabrics of 3/8 yard and 3 hours to complete. I make alot of them at the last minute and adding simple borders make them bigger. I even made one for a teacher with a apple applique on the center for her.

All the ideas that I could think of have been expressed. Just wanted to say what a lovely thing you are doing and God Bless you!

I just did a QAYG string quilt in 2 days, 4X4. Ditter did a tutorial on it that is FABULOUS. I used a bunch of flannel receiving blankets I bought from consignment sales. Worked great.

i haven't read all the posts... but i think a split rail or just strips sewn. both would be quick!

Have you seen the 10-minute blocks? I have the pattern but haven't made it yet. It is next on my list. It is from
www.d-originals.com They also show a book called Big Blocks Easy Quilts. You are doing a very worthwhile project. |
This quilt top I made this year went together very fast...think you could make it scrappy or whatever colors you want...instructions included.

I see some cool boy quilts in those flannels & plaids. find an animal print with big blocks to go with them. I think D9P is the fastest quilt & changes looks with every color used.
what a great thing to do ! |
