Yet another quilt top from my stash... I had two yards of all of these and very little left of any of them... I have the binding already cut from the lavender... the top is 78x78
When I make the flying geese units I use the 'square' method (cut squares, sew corner to corner on the diagonal) and then make another seam before cutting off the excess - then wind up with a nice stack of half-square triangle squares already done! It's kind of nice to dig through the stash and find stuff I had set aside for a quilt and finally getting around to getting some of them done! Maybe my moratorium on buying any more fabric will last more than just one year! |
ooh pretty!!

Really, really nice

|
Wow-I love your quilt. The colors are beautiful.
Thanks for the tip about sewing the extra seam. I always end up with baggies full of the small triangles that I plan to get around to someday--this really makes sense. Thank you! |
That is really pretty!!! :):)
|
I'm trying to see how you put that together - what are the blocks in that? When I do it mentally I come up with 2 different sized blocks (which then would be attached in rows)...
|
single squares, flying geese, 4 square block, large block..
done in single row, double row, single row... figgered it out in EQ!! only I don't know how to do 'elements' (flying geese) in EQ - or even if you can, so used a rectangle, then printed out the outline and made flying geese by hand on the page then used my colored pencils - sheesh... I'd like to think there's a way to do that in EQ but it was easier for me to just do it that way than try to find an elusive way to do something.... LOL |
Very Pretty! I love the idea of using up the stash too.
|
Really nice! I really like the pink flowered fabric. Sometimes going through our stash is like visiting the fabric store all over again.
|
WOW! I love the colors!

ok, I wanna know how you got just one 'flying geese' ... I've looked through every single stupid block and can't find it...
I did figure out how to do THAT one (just rotate it how you want it to go) but where is it in EQ?????????????????????? |
