Very nice idea for a quilt, would be good for a math student as well or my grandkids

Thank you for your inspiration! Your quilt is gorgeous. If I ever get caught up I am going to try that pattern next. Great job! ~ Pat

Very pretty, just in time for the fourth of July.

I need to make one of these. Yours is beautiful. Very cheery.

Such a really neat quilt! Love the pattern and colors!

Cool quilt.

I want to make a star wall hanging to put on my front door for the patriotic holidays. A simple appliqued star in red on white fabric with a blue border and some funky red, white and blue for the binding. It will have to wait a while, but I hope to have it done for next July.

Great quilt. An inspiration for my husband who has a July 4 birthday and me with no gift. Thanks for the explanation too. Pick yourself up and dust yourself off. You did a great job.

As a military mom, I especially love your use of patriotic fabric. It's truly a beautiful quilt! Hope you are feeling better!

Come on now... making this terrific quilt just HAD to cheer you up! It's wonderful!

and do you know what else? You posted pictures of it! I still haven't learned how to do that on here!!!

Thank you all. I don't know how I had forgotten the support & love when I post on QB. Guess only you'all know the work involved in making quilts and the love that goes into them. I am giving myself a neck up-Check up this morning ... and determined to see the "positives" of every aspect of my life daily. I'm thinking I'll try some more Modern quilts for a while.

Beautiful. Must add it to my to do list.

Maybe you're a bit like me... I flounder around and just keep circling til I find what I'm looking for.. On QB especially, since I haven't adapted to everything being new an different.. It's a good thing that I have plenty of time to sit and circle.. You might not believe it, but I use to be real whiz kid! Those were the day, my friend...

Yes, it turned out great in red, white and blue. I did one once in a scrappy way (all different 4" pieces) and while okay, wasn't nice as this one--for sure. I really like it!

amizjeanne 06-22-2012 06:20 AM

Very pretty front and back.

sewmorethings 06-23-2012 03:27 AM

I like it - I have been looking at the same pattern - trying to figure out if my brain would last making this one - I really want to try it - but am a little scared - you did a wonderful job.

DebbE 09-13-2012 06:10 AM

Great quilt! Love the variety of colors and 'textures' you used while still staying in the red/white/blue scheme.

Blinkokr 09-13-2012 06:37 AM

Just wonderful, great job and thank you for sharing, love the red, white and blue, old Navy gal married to an old Navy guy.
Have a Blessed day
