I truly enjoyed making this quilt and was happy with the way it turned out. Have been wanting to make one for a while.

I really like this. I am wanting to do a plus quilt too. Great job.

Thank you, you're very kind.

A Plus Quilt. That is such a cool design for a scrappy quilt I have never seen one. How did you ever keep it all straight? I am amazed.

pjaco 06-18-2012 05:00 AM

Thanks, it's pretty easy, just have to think in advance and use the design wall. Thank you again. This is a day that I need some positive feelings, cause I am down & out. I just googled plus quilt in their images and found a pattern that I could print as an example, it really helped. They are 4 1/2 " squares, need 5 for each plus.

Very neat quilt! That would be a super pattern for a gift to a Math teacher.:)

pjaco, this is super cute! Wish I had a cool collection of patriotic prints. Love it! And...I hope you have a GREAT day!

Your quilt is wonderful. It is fun just to look at because of the design and the fabrics. You did a wonderful job and I know you are going to enjoy it. I don't think I have seen the design before so it was so nice to see your example. Thanks for sharing.

pjaco 06-18-2012 06:21 AM

I can't thank you all enough. Just what I needed when I've been so bummed out. When you google it in images, you'll find quite a lot of different types of plus quilts made with all kinds of different fabrics. I love to google images. Such a variety and loads of fun. I have a tendacy to make quilts according to seasons and holidays, not too sure why. DID I POST ENOUGHT PICS OR WHAT ????

Happy Linda 06-18-2012 06:25 AM

It makes me smile. Colorful and not to busy.

Mariposa 06-18-2012 06:40 AM

Terrific scrappy, and just in time for the 4th! Great job! :)

Vivian Ketron 06-18-2012 06:49 AM

Very pretty quilt. Looks like something I might want to do.

Helen S 06-18-2012 07:21 AM

This one is VERY cute! I love it, so guess it needs to go on my bucket list, since it looks like it will work up quickly! lol
I've come to the sad conclusion that there are literally thousands of quilt patterns out there and I'll never manage to make one of each if I live to be 100.

That is FABULOUS! I'd never seen that pattern before but I LOVE it! Did you make it yourself (the pattern, not the quilt... LOL!)? I love the RWB! Just in time for the 4th, eh? Great job!!!

Lovely quilt! I love the bright colours and the sheer simplicity that gives it such oomph. Great stuff!

Liz22 06-18-2012 08:47 AM

I love this idea!! Very cool!:p

BrendaK 06-18-2012 08:54 AM

I can't believe how much I like this quilt. You did a super job. I don't have a design wall so I guess I will have to be extra careful when I do mine. (Thanks, you just added another to my barrel list). Hope you don't mind if I copy this pattern. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

Thanks everyone ! I really needed some "positive" feed back cause I've been a Debbie Downer today. Just now figured out how to make a new message since the board changed !

pjaco 06-18-2012 12:34 PM

Love your quote, I need that tatooed on me ! (like I could be still long enough) NOT

Love your quote. It's easy once you get started. Pattern says 4 1/2 " squares and I almost changed it but I'm glad I didn't. (thought that would take forever that size !) Thanks for your nice comments !

#1piecemaker 06-18-2012 12:48 PM

It turned out pretty neat. You did a good job!

pjaco 06-18-2012 12:51 PM

I think you're right about the simplicity. Sometimes the simpler patterns really show off the fabric. don't you think ? After all it's only a 9-patch.

Well it is a definite cheer you up. I love it. But don't think I've enough blue and red in the stash. I feel a shopping trip coming on.
