Post your Mug Rug Pictures Here for our Mug Rug Gallery
Please post pictures of your mug rugs that you have made or received so we can have one spot to enjoy looking at the cool Mug Rugs. Thanks Everyone! This is the one I made using the Lil Twister Ruler. I made mine from a charm pack and fat quarter for the backing. I used warm and natural batting. Pattern: Lil Twister Ruler (directions in the package) you can buy the pattern online or ask your Local Quilt Shops (LQS) If you found the pattern online free (please post the link so we can also enjoy the free pattern) If it is from a book or pattern that you buy, post that information so we can also try to find it to buy the cool patterns. Also I have been saving links for free patterns, tutorials and pictures of mug rugs on my pages here on the Quilting Board and will post the link if you want to look at my growing list. http://www.quiltingboard.com/user_page.jsp?upnum=1692 Lil Twister Mug Rug |

I made 5 from orphan squares that my sister gave me. I gave them as thank you gifts for our lunch room helpers.

I hope there are a lot of pictures coming. I have been wondering what a mug rug looked like. Looks like a good use for my leftover pieces of batting...there is batting in them?? See, I really don't know much about them.
|
Yes, I have batting in mine. Great use of scraps and leftover blocks.

I've posted these on another thread, but these are the only ones I've made--for a dear aunt. She loved them especially the pansies on the back side that you can't see!

Here are a couple of mug rugs I gave to my Bible study group at the end of our study. They are no where as great as many of the ones you folks have done but all have inspired me to be more creative.

Wow, this is a whole new world!!!! I had no idea....it's also a wonderful way to try a new pattern to see if it works, and a reason to window shop - looking for mugs to match your rug or looking for mugs then making a rug.
Thank you, My Friends, your mug rugs are inspiring as well as beautiful. |
They are all so pretty, I haven't made one yet
