Love that quilt.

twinkie 10-12-2013 04:27 AM

There are always little ripples in a quilt top with so many seams. I am sure it is made to perfection. OCD is a real advantage at times. Love it.

bibi 10-12-2013 05:04 AM

Amazing!!!!

BizzieLizzie 10-12-2013 05:13 AM

I love it!! Looks really nice! :)

amh 10-12-2013 05:26 AM

Fabulous. Just fabulous. He must have spent just hours and hours. This is just a great way of sitting down and getting the sewing "fix" when you don't have a particular project in mind.

I love it nice work

duckydo 10-12-2013 05:31 AM

Mercy, you have lots of patience.. My aunt made about 6 of these all hand stitched. IMHO any all over pattern would work.

mighty 10-12-2013 06:42 AM

Holly Molly that is a lot of pieces!!! He really does great work!! Love to see it after quilting!

Mariposa 10-12-2013 06:49 AM

Another great top by your hubby! Love the PS squares! :) How many pieces-?? Perhaps an open, curvy panto and use a variegated thread....

mattie washington 10-12-2013 07:24 AM

I probably will never even attempt to make this quilt too many seams. Good job I just the thought of all those seams makes me nervous

MargeD 10-12-2013 07:40 AM

WOW - he has far more patience than I do making quilts with all those small squares. Very pretty.

quilter824 10-12-2013 08:12 AM

I love it and hats off to him for having the patience to do that.

Brenda M 10-12-2013 08:22 AM

Well done!!!!!!!!! He sure has some amazing patience!!!

IBQUILTIN 10-12-2013 09:47 AM

Wow and Wow again. That is one wild man you have there. I would be totally bonkers after trying to even do a small one like that

Cookie46 10-12-2013 04:04 PM

Your husband's quilt is awesome.

cat-on-a-mac 10-12-2013 05:45 PM

That's just crazy cool  I hope he has his own machine, so you can get LOTS done on yours while he's putting things like this together?!

debcavan 10-12-2013 06:46 PM

Wow, I cannot imagine doing anything like that.

crcindy 10-12-2013 07:25 PM

Wow- so many pieces! Congrats to your DH for doing this!!

craftyheart2 10-13-2013 12:00 AM

I think a panto (especially something curvy) would be great for this. Well done on him for having the patience to stick with it.

JanieH 10-13-2013 02:42 AM

WOW! That is fantastic!

It is definitely on my list - I save all my small scraps for one.

klgls 10-13-2013 04:34 AM

Awesome quilt - love the popcorn idea!

Wanabee Quiltin 10-13-2013 05:51 AM

oh my goodness...yes, patience of Job must be his blessing

Conartist1945 10-13-2013 06:39 AM

Fabulous! My favorite kind of quilt

pattymason 10-13-2013 06:40 AM

How many pieces are in this, do you know?

marla 10-13-2013 06:55 AM

This is great! And I can tell he is at home with the sewing machine.

The pic probably is wonky if it was laid ontop of a ccomforter.

It is no secret that my DH gets more sewing done than I do. Here is where his obsessive compulsive disorder kicks in! I do not have the patience to do this. But, didn't it turn out great? I'm proud of his accomplishments. I'm wondering how I'm going to quilt this one. Maybe with a large popcorn pantograph? What do you think?

BuzzinBumble 10-13-2013 10:31 AM

That is gorgeous! However you choose to quilt it i am sure you will do it justice!

Quilter Day-by-Day 10-13-2013 04:12 PM

This gives me encouragement to get backed started on mine cause that's what mine is 1.5" squares. He did a fantastic job, and yes post a picture of when it's quilted.

callen 10-13-2013 04:14 PM

Wow, that would take way too much patience for me to do. What an amazing job!!

solstice3 10-13-2013 04:24 PM

What a man /quilt!

Judith1005 10-13-2013 04:37 PM

Oh my word, it's a bit dizzying. But, it would keep me coming back over and over to see all the different fabrics. Dear hubby gets a huge pat on the back for this masterpiece. Look forward to see what you decide about for the quilting. (Not experienced enough to add an opinion about that.)

mrsjdt 10-13-2013 07:26 PM

Amazing and beautiful--- and for me---lots of foul language!

me too. He has way more patience than I do. I started one once upon a time. It is in my closet in a shoe box. It will probably stay there too. He has made at least 4 of these. Now, I just have to quilt them.

raspberryparade09 10-15-2013 04:57 PM

Wow! Wow! Wow!

krissr 10-19-2013 06:08 PM

OH MY GOSH What a patient man

Lori S 10-19-2013 06:52 PM

Impressive work! What a great postage stamp quilt. He sure beats my patience!

josie bass 10-19-2013 07:04 PM

I think it is beautiful I couldn't do that if I wanted too. He has the patience of Jobe . Know matter how you quilt it it will be beautiful.

Peggy Jeanne 10-21-2013 07:32 PM

I can not imagine doing one of these. Amazing!

terri bb 10-24-2013 08:32 PM

Wow you got alot of comments on this :) May i say to the man of the casa he did an outstanding job and that is 7,138 times more patience than i have to put all those bitty pieces together but now i will have to send him some just cuz <3 after reading all the replies, i think i like the thought of the clamshell for quilting. you say you have 4 of them; so do one clamshell, one popcorn, etc. baptist fan might be a bit too tight to be cozy. it sure is pretty and one of these days i hope to see his quilts in person. the only other fella who has him beat is the gentleman who used his as therapy for his stroke? i think? and he sewed them all on a treadle. kudos to the hubby! he has won my vote.
