Love your quilt:-)

gramquilter2 03-04-2011 07:44 AM

Your quilt is beautiful. No one will notice the mistakes you think you made.

suesembroidery 03-04-2011 08:21 AM

after it is quilted, who sees the seams. after it is quilted the wrinkles are taken up with the quilter stitches. sometimes the seams coming together don't stick out like a sore thumb. besides, if they start pointing out the mistakes to you, take it back and give it to someone who really care and love your labor of love. You will get to the day it looks great. I don't intend to enter a contest anyway. I just love working in my sewing room and forgetting all the troubles of the world.

Or some Alene's OK to wash it glue! Thanks!

Wish I could claim the design is mine, but it came from Regina Grewe:

Beautiful wallhanging!
Love the colors, especially your background.

Your Spring wallhanging is beautiful! What size is it?

25 1/2 x 32". The pattern calls for 9 blocks but you can add others to it. The blocks are supposed to be 6" but mine were 5 1/4 which is why I may have had trouble with the border.
If I were to do it again I would make the "backgrounds" of each piece bigger to make them 6".

But Oh what fun it was!

great quilt. I don't think you need a horse, it looks terrific. Isn't fudging a part of the pattern????

Nettie Phillips 03-04-2011 05:23 PM

I like it. Really like the bird houses.

Kitsie 03-04-2011 05:34 PM

Thanks everyone! Really so easy! Thinking of doing a tutorial using one of the simpler blocks like the heart or the mushrooms. With permission of Regina Grewe, of course. Great way to use up scraps!

Would anybody like that?

gramquilter2 03-04-2011 05:41 PM

I would as I really like PP. Will be watching for your tutorial.

Just perfect for spring. And as for spacers....don't notice. Just see a great quilt!

Kitsie 03-05-2011 08:24 AM

Now I just have to hope I can find more of the yellow fabric for the binding! Hate when I do that!
Happy day everyone!

Forgot to say that anyone who wants to try blocks like these, there are free patterns on Regina's web site!
