Very nice! I like to make mug rugs too but that is a lot! Sometimes to avoid binding I stitch around, leave opening, and turn, then stitch around edge a couple times.

[ATTACH=CONFIG]473577[/ATTACH]Here is another practice mug rug. I found fabulous butterfly fabric at my lqs. Playing with the binding, I used my embroidery machine. I like the front, but the back, not so much. If I do more like this I will change my bobbin thread color to match the backing.

Nice mug rugs - I also make my backing bigger. I stitch the backing to the top and bottom right sides together and then turn right out through one side (which makes its own binding for the top and bottom) and then fold the sides in mitering the corners and then stitch all the way around. Hope that made sense. Sure makes the binding on those little mug rugs so much faster and easier.
