Pretty enough for a princess!

Got up bright and early this morning and had this quilt all ready to go on the LA machine. Well, all was going well unitl I got the last row and noticed that I had started my stiching too low :( The pattern starts stitching at the top and when it got to the bottom I noticed it was stitching off the quilt (you can see it a bit in the pic). So I spent a good bit of time ripping it out what was wrong, adjusted the machine placement and finished. Took me an extra hour or 2 but I think it is pretty cute!
I have only been doing my own LAQing since end of August 2017 and this is my 31st quilt (yes I know I am nuts) and it seems with every quilt I learn something new! I do love the quilt! The fabric is from Riley Blake and has princesses and unicorns! The quilting pattern is called Ribbons & Roses from Anne Bright. It stitches out quickly and does not go over itself which is great I used a very light pink Shannon minky on the back. |
Very pretty fabric and colors. I like what you chose for the quilting, too!

Beautiful everything!

Very pretty and love the quilting pattern you are using. Sorry you and Mr. Ripper work so hard to get things done correctly.
|
Lovely quilt and quilting!
|
very lovely

Sweet quilt--fabric and quilting together are so feminine. I know you said you do LAQing, but please tell me, how DO you get 31 quilts pieced in under 4 months? I can't fathom it unless you work sun-up to sun-down, 7 days a week?
|
LOL - well I had 10 of them done when I got the machine, but the other 21 quilts yes were pieced and quilted in 4 months. That is part of the reason my DH said wha the heck are you waiting for get your own machine. Plus he was ited of listending to me complain about how long it took to get my quilts back.....
Granted I do not have a real job anymore..... So now I sew 3 to 4 hours everyday and love it!

Everything about it is pretty.

Very pretty. I think the quilting is very pretty and the loft is really nice. Is that because of the minky or did you yous batting also?
|
Very girly looking. I like the quilting a lot.
|
Very sweet quilt...love the quilting design. It sounds like you’ve bonded well with your LA machine since August. : )
|
I love everything about this quilt. It's lovely!
|
I use Hobbs Polydown it is really lofting and quilts up nicely. It is also helps not add weight to the quilt as the minky is a heavier than most quilt backs.

This is a lovely quilt and I especially like the quilting. Can you tell me if it's a pantograph and if so where you purchased it?

a great quilt and quilting!

Cute panto. Unless you bring your backing around to the front to do the binding, there is no reason you can't let the stitching go off the end of the quilt. I do it all the time when I am doing a panto and I often use a portion of the design at the beginning and end so I don't have noticeable areas unquilted at the edges. I am hand guided and not computer driven. Anyway, you could have save yourself a lot of unstitching if you bind with binding as the quilting going off the end of the quilt will be cut of and buried in binding. Of course this doesn't work if you bring the backing up over the top to bind a quilt.

Your quilt achieved a softness that is difficult to render, but, wow, you did it! Congrats!!!
