Oh jayme,
This is so special to work together on a quilt.

ladyredhawk 02-03-2011 06:48 PM

how cool she does a great job

PattyS 02-03-2011 06:53 PM

Nothing like starting her young!! Her quilt design is very pretty and I know her quilt will be beautiful.

brendadawg 02-03-2011 07:16 PM

Very nice pattern. I think you have an up and coming quilt design star!

annette1952 02-03-2011 07:56 PM

It is going to be so pretty with those fabrics. It will be extra special too since you & your DD are doing it together. She will always cherish it! BTW your DD is a little cutie. My GD is 13 & she loves things I make for her but she really doesn't like to sew. She used to like playing on my old machine but she only thinks of speed. Not anything else! LOL

I just have boys who tell me I can't bring my hand work to baseball games because it makes me look like a grandma. (what's wrong with that???) I LOVE my boys, but, I'm a little envious that you have a girl who looks like she's getting into your hobby with you. How fortunate you are! Maybe I'll get granddaughters..... Also a little jealous of your stash!

IBQUILTIN 02-03-2011 09:19 PM

She is adorable, and that smile just says it all. Bet she can't wait

Looks like a homerun in the making - cute designer, great design, beautiful fabrics, and eventually, an awesome quilt! She should frame her disign page and hang it in her room as a piece of artrwork!

Becca Bear 02-03-2011 11:02 PM

Oh how fun! She is beautiful and looks thrilled with her future quilt! Keep us posted and include pictures please!

Aww a quilter in training. I wish I'd done something like this with my daughter before she grew up and moved away.

Rina 02-04-2011 02:11 AM

Lovely idea. Enjoy!

cheryl rearick 02-04-2011 09:35 AM

I love it and she colored it herself. WTG can't wait to see her in action? :)

sewdarnbusy 02-04-2011 09:40 AM

This is a genious test to see if kids have quilting instincts. She's definately got em'.

nativetexan 02-04-2011 09:53 AM

a very good way to teach planning.

grammysharon 02-04-2011 03:34 PM

I love the color selections! Should be outstanding

sewbizgirl 02-04-2011 03:40 PM

Man, she's a smart girl!! You trained her well... Will she do her own cutting and piecing? I hope you post more photos as the quilt progresses.

Millstream Mom 02-04-2011 04:07 PM

What a sweetie! It must be so nice to have her interested in quilting - she did a fantastic job designing her layout. I LOVE bright colors in a quilt! Please take pics as you progress on your project - I'd love to see how its coming along!

What Fun!!
No DGDs but I have a DGS that will be 9 and he is very interested in making quilts with me. We already cook and scrapbook together.
Looking forward to your updates and finished quilt.

I love your colors. It's gonna be awesome. Make sure you post the finshed product.

Annz 02-07-2011 07:03 PM

Her design is gorgeous. She is very talented. I'm glad to hear that she is involved.

BevF 02-14-2011 07:13 PM

That's the way to start! Keep her going with encouragement(even if it means learning to rip--a rippin' good time).

bluesnowdoe 02-22-2011 06:11 PM
