I like that idea, thin yellow followed by blue floral wider border.

The border fabric you are showing looks perfect with the quilt. If you need the quilt to be even bigger, you could first add a narrow border of the yellow or a darker blue, and then the blue floral.

I totally agree skinny yellow inner border and use the outer border you are showing. It will be beautiful.
