Progress on Starburst Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
After not working on it for months, it was more than a little intimidating. But this week I have completed the remainder of the turquoise diamonds. Now on to the blue ones though I am probably going to work on something easier for a week before I go back to this one.

Your quilt is so beautiful. I will say, I bought that pattern and, without even trying it, I found it very intimidating and turned around and sold the pattern on Ebay. I applaud you for attempting it but even more so for the fantastic job. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing it finished.

It is looking great!!

DeneK--It looks great.
I am intrigued by your design wall. I notice it has a grid pattern. I am using a queen size batting tacked to my wall so it looks similar to yours except the grid lines. Can you tell me about your design wall? |
This will be spectacular.
Looks great! I noticed your grid lines too on your design wall. Looks like you have a great working space.
That is amazing! Your colors are beautiful.
Wow! You're doing a fabulous job. It will be amazing when you finish.
That is going to be a beauty! I want to try this pattern, but I'm so intimidated!
That is beautiful. The colors are so pretty and it has a lot of wow factor. I am taking a hiatus for a few days from one that was driving me crazy. Then I thought I would whip out this medallion thingy and it hasn't been so easy either. Sometimes our brains need to rest!
Gorgeous! Can't wait to see it when it's done!
Awesome, Keep your progress coming for us to enjoy.

What an outstanding beauty of a quilt. Please keep us posted.
Ohhhhh, pretty!
I bought it before we moved last year and didn't put it up until recently. I will have to look and see if I can find where I got it. I bought it as yardage so bought enough length to put up 2 widths. I really like it as I could never get my blocks straight on my regular wall. I will admit that it doesn't "grab" as well as I would like so I have to put pin in mostly unless really light blocks.

looking very good

The pattern also comes as paper pieced... Might be easier. But while not perfect, so far I am satisfied with it. I am doing it for a friend in return for her doing some LA work for me. She bought the kit and then was too intimidated to try it. It took me a while to get into it (I was intimidated too, but gutsy enough to try). I even called the pattern designer and talked to him --- very, very nice guy.
