I was so eager to start this project (and had no confidence to make a presentable rendition) that I just grabbed the first bit of extra fabric and started right in. I used a thread that blended so i wouldn't be able to see my mistakes as much. As I finished a little of the class and realized i might be able to do some of the quilting, i then started adding other thread colors. This is not the whole project. i didn't do her borders. I do plan to go back and take this course in earnest and do a better job. The quilt is out of kilter as i didn't have time to block is before My granddaughter decided it was going to be a quilt for her favorite stuffed animal du jour.

wow! have you ever quilted before? I signed up for a quilting class, but have not gone far because I have trouble with my computer buffering & I keep having to wait or refresh. got frustrated so I haven't been back.

I have paid for 3 of these classes, and they dont work on my machine. Oh how I wish they did, I'd be doing this now. It is so neat. You are doing so well for beginner, not sure mine would look like that. Good Luck, keep up the great work, girly!!

When I first started the Craftsy classes they played great--not long ago I signed up for another one and it played horribly. I run Windows XP and Craftsy kept saying get the newest Internet Explorer--well, it doesn't install with XP and I did install Google Chrome which helps. Some people say Firefox works for them.

Well done, I have also signed up for this and "watched" the videos while piecing another quilt top! Look forward to staring it soon!

Then I signed up for http://www.craftsy.com/class/Quiltin...all-Machine/51 and I think between those two classes and Leah Day's website (which is free and you should check it out if you have not done so) you can learn to quilt anything!

Of the two classes on Craftsy which would you recommend first?

Looks very lovely but also very complicated.

Here is the one I made from this class. You can see the difference in choosing the right thread. I used variegated thread and a lot of mine faded into the background.

Yours looks so nice with the colored thread showing.

It is a fun class and if you are interested in fmq I suggest you get this class the teacher is great and explains things very well.

Firefox is the best for me to view on. I just had my computer in for repair and the tech thinks that the company has so many people using the website that the problem is on their end. Sometimes it works fine and others I just give up. Try firefox it is the best.
