Great job.

Great PL quilts! I have seen the ice cream cones quilt made by one of our chapter's blanketeers. It was a hit! I had never thought of making kits with paper-pieced blocks for our volunteers to make up. I think many of them would be intimidated by the paper-piecing. Yours turned out beautiful!

Thank you all for the positive comments. Our PL chapter had made up the kits packed in Zip Loc bags with instructions, and I had virtually no experience with PP. So, it was a challenge, as I had done one kite and realized I had bit off more than I could chew. It reminded me of trying to get dressed, upside down , backwards and inside out. I had not attempted that since I was 3 years old. :D

Great PL quilts. I like that Quiltmaker magazines features these patterns plus more for project linus. You can go in to Quiltmaker website and get all the free ones madde especially for PL. I am in a chapter in Ft. Worth and we love these easy to do patterns. Nice to see other PL chapter members.

Yes, I think both of these patterns came from Quiltmaker for PL.
I belong to the Dallas/Collin/Grayson County chapter of PL. I crochet, too, and get some of the free PL patterns from Lion Yarns. I think your chapter helped our chapter with the Snowball Express for the kids of the military casualties before Christmas.

adorable quilts, great job!

Yes we are the Tarrant/Parker county Chapter and we did a lot of quilts for the snowball express. Nice to meet you. We also do Make a blanket days at JPS and Cooke's children once a year. I actually went to the convention in Illinois and had a blast. Got to meet everyone. Maybe we will meet at a local convention when it comes. Theya re going to be moving around the states instead of just Illinois and also open it up to members as well as chapter coordinators. Yahooooo. I make up kits for our chapter too. Some of the ladies don't have room and/or don't rotary cut so I have at least 50 kits on hand at all times. It's fun.

By the way, last year we did the Houston International Quilt show and worked the PL booth there. We had fun and had kits for anyone to sit and sew using the Project Linus fabric designed for us byRobert Loos. Maybe you can join us this year. Notify Carol Babbit and let her know you are interested if you are.
