Psychedelic 4 Patch Paisley
5 Attachment(s)
I just completed a lap quilt for my DGD. She loved the 4 Patch Posey bedrunner http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t224724.html that I made for my bedroom, but her take on the 4 Patch Posey was a lot different than mine. She found this very colorful paisley print that she loved, then found bold fabrics to match. She decided on the sashing, cornerstones, etc. I chose the binding (love that faux piped binding), panto (Paisley by Patricia Ritter), backing (extra wide plain black-1st time for that), and thread color top and bobbin (Signature "Gem" in Tri-Lobal Poly). Made the pillowcase cuff w/a faux piped binding.

Your DGD did a fabulous job picking out fabrics. The quilt turned out spectacular. I love using the wide back for LAQ and your variegated thread really pops beautifully on that dark backing.
|
It is gorgeous!!! So colorful... Like the varigated thread used too. That gives me an idea for my 1st DGD's graduation quilt & 4 other girls....
Did you present it to her rolled up in the pillowcase? I have been wondering what to do with my DGK's.. |
Very pretty and bright. Wonderful quilt and lucky DGD. Really like the verigated thread you used for quilting.
|
She's in Kentucky and I'm in Michigan, so I haven't presented it to her yet. I will probably have to mail it to her. She's in college studying to be a chef. She will be going to Spain for a work/study for part of the summer.
