The front looks great, babies love bright strong colors, I wouldn't call the front psychedelic. The backing fabric could possibly fit that description, but the main part of the quilt is the front. So I'd say no. And it is a great quilt for a baby!

Couldn't agree more, it's super for a young kiddie-wink, the brighter the better IMO and what a lovely quilt.
