If I can attach this picture of my block pieces laid out on the floor, help me decide on the last border. Should it be the purple or the turquoise?

Any opinions??

cathyvv 09-29-2010 07:19 PM

Hmmmm. how about a skinny turquoise and a wider purple?

I like them both.

almostfree 09-29-2010 07:20 PM

I would go with turquoise, but that's my favorite color! Both look good!

NancyG 09-29-2010 07:20 PM

I like the purple......but that is my favorite color☺

nursie76 09-29-2010 07:20 PM

Man, I kinda like them both....I tend to lean toward a darker border and the purple is different enough form the mottled purple to look nice, but the turquoise makes the other turquoise in the quilt pop. I know, I'm not much help....

erstan947 09-29-2010 07:21 PM

Either will be great but I like turquoise best.

I think that would be PERFECT!!

champagnebubbles 09-29-2010 07:22 PM

turquoise

amma 09-29-2010 07:23 PM

I like the way the dark purple frames the quilt :D:D:D

mom-6 09-29-2010 07:25 PM

I would do a narrow turquoise border next to the patterned purple, then a somewhat wider (but not real wide) solid purple on the outside and bind with the solid as well.

Either would look good, but this sounds like a good idea, if you are up to it!

earthwalker 09-29-2010 07:26 PM

I like the idea of turquoise, then a wider purple....then maybe bind in turquoise. Love the colours...nice one!

Chigger Holler Quilter 09-29-2010 07:27 PM

I think I like the purple....keeps the eye going to the center not edge of the quilt

magnolia 09-29-2010 07:32 PM

I like the turquoise with a purple binding.

SundarKoyal 09-29-2010 07:34 PM

I agree with magnolia. Turquoise outter border with the purple for the binding.

I agree a thin turquise and a wider purple as it will seperate the 2 purples and add a nice finish

charismah 09-29-2010 10:18 PM

I think you should do both

Ditto!

Thanks everyone. I guess it is now time for me to make a real decision! For some reason I keep putting this decision off.

purple border and turquoise binding to bring out the turquoise in the quilt.

Lynnejean 09-30-2010 06:09 AM

Turquoise with purple binding.

Lillie 09-30-2010 06:27 AM

I like both and with the purple you already have around blocks I would do a 1.5 inch strip in turquoise and then a 4 inch purple and you may want to bind quilt in turquoise. Love your quilt and colors.

KathyAire 09-30-2010 06:29 AM

I like the purple border and Turquoise binding.

I'm sure you are totally undecided now............
