dungeonquilts 07-11-2010 08:26 AM

Really cute.....I smile when I see these tote bags & purses on here..Would never want to start making them (My daughter changes shoes as fast she does purses, that is all I would get done LOL

ladyshuffler 07-11-2010 11:13 AM

Sooooo cute love the fabrics....I have not talked my self into doing a purse yet...you are way ahead of me!

Pam 07-11-2010 11:33 AM

I LOVE the curtain tie back used for handles! I always look at them in stores, I think they are pretty and shiny and smooth and do NOT go with my mission style more simplified decorating theme. Thanks for the great idea!!

paintedquilt 07-11-2010 11:34 AM

Beautiful :!:

Cute bag. I'm referred to as the bag lady. I love to make bags.

pab58 07-11-2010 12:55 PM

That is really cute! Is is your own design? 8-)

sunrise450 07-11-2010 12:59 PM

I love your purse! I didn't realise that the handles are curtain ties. Where did you get your pattern?

I just looked again...is that what they call the sweet sixteen bag?
There is a free pattern on line for that bag if that is what yours is..but I do not know how to put a link in here but you can go to popularpatchwork.com to find it

Not sure why not, it seems to go directly to the PDF file when I went back and checked. Try the following:

http://www.thisbe.org/cheryl/Patterns.html

Scroll down to "Bag" and click on Sweet sixteen.

Wow have to say I really like your bag. Hope you can find your pattern or notes.
Thanks for sharing.

Very cute - reminds me of the Schlep bag too :)
I'm thinking it would make great teacher gifts this year!

Shirlx 07-12-2010 03:37 AM

Very cute love the frog closure.

Sue Fish 07-12-2010 03:40 AM

I have been wondering what you used for batting and interfacing> That often is the hardest thing about making a purse..want it firm but not stiff nor too sloppy..yours looks just right and what size are the blocks?

lizzy 07-12-2010 04:27 AM

I love it! Did you have a pattern? I am just into making purses. After quilting for 10 years, I wanted to try something a little different. Plan to make a purse for the "girls" in the family for Christmas.

anicra 07-12-2010 04:59 AM

Very nice. Love the pattern. Love the colors.

emt2004 07-12-2010 05:06 AM

That pattern is very close to the one I made. I am still looking for my pattern, let you know if I find it.......Michele

emt2004 07-12-2010 05:08 AM

The batting for this bag was warm & natural, no interfacing was used.......Michele

matraina 07-12-2010 05:53 AM

Oh, that purse is sooooooooooo adorable. Love it.

raptureready 07-12-2010 06:06 AM

My DD would love this purse. She collects purses and currently has (at age 11) 150+. Mostly I just let her pick them up at garage sales for 25 or 50 cents but this one is so cute!!!

justme 07-12-2010 06:11 AM

Love it!

I believe the name of this bag is "Perfect Patches", I have made it and the pattern was in an Australian Patchwork & stitching magazine quite some time ago.
