Hi Lucky, Im not aware of a tutorial on the cathedral window (didnt even know thats what it was called). I'll check around to see if there might be one posted somewhere and if I cant find one, I'll try to write something up for you in the next few days.

Thanks so much, I love the Big Fat Star too, that one went together really quick. I actually saw a 6" block like it and just decided to fatten it up a bit. Im a "big block" girl what can I say. I think its because my brain is moving faster than my sewing machine so while Im working on one Im already thinking about the next one, and the bigger the block, the sooner Im moving on. Dont know if im blessed or cursed

All are QAYG, fun and done and moving on to the next project is just the way I roll.

Thanks again for the comments everybody. I've learned so much from the board, its like all my projects are group efforts. I really appreciate everything.

Very pretty quilts.

I have to try this. These are beautiful and looks like a good way to practice FMQ on smaller pieces. Your quilts are beautiful. I'm going to try this. Thanks for the tutorial too.

amma 04-13-2011 06:34 PM

What a lovely collection of QAYG quilts :D:D:D

Ziva 04-13-2011 06:56 PM

WOW! Beautiful quilts

Paisleyc 04-13-2011 10:15 PM

First of all, love the quilts that you displayed. The Night and Day one is something I like, it is traditional and modernistic. I wonder how hard was it to do?
I guess I think that the QAYG projects as something you put in your bag and take with you on the road, but it seems that you put it together by machine. I think I am confused and need to re-read your tut again.

Thanks for showing the pics. Again, it helps us newbies learn.

ljorange 04-14-2011 01:09 AM

Beautiful quilts. Can't wait to try out your tutorial. I'm working now on a cathedral window, not a quilt but a small one and I'm doing it by hand...it's taking me f-o-r-e-v-e-r!!! I am so slow!

Donna Mare 04-14-2011 01:52 AM

All of these are great! Love the color combos
