Quick n' Dirty Quilt
 

My guild made this quilt for our 2018 retreat project and I finished it just in time for our September 2019 show.

The pattern was called Quick and Dirty and was taught by Teajuana Mahone. I called mine "You've Gotta be Quicker Than That!" since it took me 18 months to finish what should have been a quick quilt since I have been so sick. But I am finally back to quilting!

May be quick, but nothing dirty about it. It's a gorgeous quilt.

What a fun quilt to look at. The most important thing is you are no longer sick! Having the quilt done is a sweet byproduct of healing! Love the colors.

I love that quilt, don’t understand the ( dirty) reference at all and that name for a pattern would probably turn me off- keep me from considering it. Sometimes a little ( explanation) should be included by a designer- I’m sure there are many patterns that never get sold- or even looked at due to an unfortunate name. So nice that you did take that plunge- I love the happy colors and visual appeal of yours.

What a nice quilt. I really like the use of the grey/black/white prints for the background. It lets all the vibrant colors shine bright but it isn't overwhelming. I also like the multi-colored binding. Really good job!

Lindalou, I'll either see if I can find mine original from retreat or see if I can get a copy from the teacher for you. She drafted her own set of directions.

I am so happy that you are better and back to quilting. I love the picture of the quilt you posted. There is just the right amount of contrast, and I absolutely love the bright colors.
