Quick star quilt

I whipped this quick quilt up to teach my son to use the longarm. I used some layer cakes I had to make half square triangles then trimed the solid squiares to 9.5". The quilt measures 84" square. It has minky on the back that I found for $12.00 a yard and 90" wide! I used thin poly batting and the quilt is nice and warm.

my son used the computer to quilt it. It took 5 hours of instruction to finish it. I think he has more respect for the difficulting of quilting now.

Very nice, how old is your son? you both did a great job, and how nice that he wants to learn.

My son is 25. We had a little misshape with the machine. The hopping foot got caught in the batting and broke the needle. Then the machine started knocking. Thankfully we were on the last row towards the end. My husband fixed the machine this morning so all is good.
