Interesting pattern. You used very attractive fabrics. Job well done.

nicely done

Great quilts and a perfect way to showcase fabrics you don't want to cut up. That for the idea.

What a great way to use novelty prints. I will have to look through my stash for a fun print.

Yes, it's very rewarding... Our charity quilting group gets some of the most touching thank you letters! I love donating.
Forgot to mention what a great stashbuster this quilt is! I cut out four of them at one time and was able to use things I had in my stash for too long. As Jan mentioned, it's wonderful for large prints you don't want to cut. I usually select a large print for the widest stripes, then a smaller print or tonal for the medium stripes, then a contrasting solid for the skinny stripes. It takes me about an hour to make the top, including cutting time. Quilting... not so quick. But at least the piecing is fast. |
What nice strip quilts! I've been wanting to do one of these.

Beautiful Quilts! Thank you for posting the link to the Quick Strippie pattern. Your quilts look so snuggly. I like the loft of your batting. Do you remember what type of batting you used? Thank you and Happy Quilting!
