Yes I know....it's a boring 5inch square quilt. But the good news is, after having 2 quilts under my belt I think I'm ready to try the Wickedly Easy quilt.

I made this for a Dog Rescue I volunteer for. They are having a charity bingo event, so they will either give this away as a prize or have it as a silent auction.

NOT crazy about the fabric selection, but my mom wanted to "help" and provided the fabric. So you gotta love her!!

Anyway here it is. :)

I think it's just perfect for the cause... Your mom did a nice job picking it out for you..... Keep up the good work.
and Bless you for helping the animal shelter.

:D :D :D :D

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 02-20-2010 10:38 AM

Your quilt is cute and I'm fairly certain you are an offical quilt addict. At the speed you are going, you better have plenty of friends and family to give them to or you will be overrun!

ToucanSam 02-20-2010 10:49 AM

I think it looks great!!!!

And if you're bored with 5 inch squares, I highly recommend a Turning Twenty pattern. All you need is 20 fat quarters, a rotary cutter, and a ruler. I've been quilting for a month now and that was the second thing I did. Terribly easy!

And big hugs for volunteering with animals. They're some of my favorite people. :)

A perfect fabric for the great cause it is intended. Good work; I hope it brings good results for the shelter.

Pats8e8 02-21-2010 10:10 AM

Very nice, and it's perfect for the shelter theme. You know a lot of the very first quilts made were from simple plain blocks, then someone came up with the 9 patch idea. So don't think of this as boring, it's great and I too hope it goes for a lot of money to buy kibble with!

Oklahoma Suzie 02-21-2010 01:59 PM

it's cute, nice job

Honey 02-21-2010 02:43 PM

You are wonderful, the quilt is lovely.
So many people raise funds for humans but rarely animals----------do keep it up ,am sure that those you help are so happy again even though they are unware how it has happened.
BLESS YOU.

I used some of the same fabric to make a cover for a dog bed. And found a cute panel of sayings, like "My alarm clock wakes me by licking my face"...fun stuff. I think yours is great!

damaquilts 02-23-2010 05:13 PM

Great quilt. From doggy volunteer to another.

soleegirl 02-23-2010 06:05 PM
