I can't stop looking at it, trying to figure out the original block. I think the white hexy is the middle of the block. Do you know?

Gorgeous quilt.

that's a lovely quilt, thanks for the background story.
I think it looks like a variation of "Grandmother's Flower Garden". It sure used up lots of scraps. Sharon W. hi to all the other Sharon's on the board. ;o) |

Odd thing for someone to say...I think once a gift is given..that's it...no strings. Glad you are finally deciding to use it, it is a beauty and well done for 17 1/2 years!
We both come from parents with multiple divorces so I'm happy we were able to make it work. As for the comment about the quilt, my MIL said it is very typical of her. What can you do? :) |
It's beautiful!! But don't continue to store it in a plastic bag because plastic is not good for quilts although yours is in good condition. You're lucky. Store it in a pillow case.
However, I 'm sure you'll use it a lot and have it out on display more than packed away. |
Beautiful quilt!!
Glad you took it out of bag & started using it.. |
Lovely quilt.............keep it out and enjoy it! Don't worry about what will happen.

Beautiful quilt and hope you and DH enjoy it for many hears. Always interesting to hear the story behind every quilt. Is Grandma Clark still living?
